RECORDING POLICY & LEGAL DISCLAIMER
NOTICE REGARDING AUDIO AND VIDEO RECORDING
Any audio or video recording of communications, consultations, or interactions with Dr. Lanman, his staff, or within his offices is STRICTLY PROHIBITED without prior written authorization. This includes, but is not limited to:
- In-person conversations
- Video consultations
- Telephone calls
- Patient appointments
- Staff interactions
- Office visits
LEGAL NOTICE
Unauthorized recording of communications within our offices violates California law and may result in both criminal prosecution and civil litigation. Specifically:
- California Penal Code § 632(a) prohibits recording confidential communications without consent of all parties. Violations are punishable by:
- Fines up to $2,500 per violation
- Imprisonment up to one year
- Or both fine and imprisonment
- California Penal Code § 637.2 provides civil remedies including:
- Statutory damages of $5,000 per violation
- Triple the amount of actual damages
- Injunctive relief
Additionally, unauthorized recordings may violate:
- Federal and state medical privacy laws
- Patient confidentiality requirements
- Professional practice regulations
By entering these premises or engaging in any communication with Dr. Lanman or his staff, you acknowledge this policy and agree to comply with its terms.
