About Dr. John Peloza

John H. Peloza, MD is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in spine surgery. For decades, he has been on the forefront of the advancement of spine surgery thru research and techniques providing his patients with proven, predictable surgical outcomes. He is a pioneer in minimally invasive spine surgery, endoscopic spine surgery, spinal motion devices including artificial discs, and regenerative medicine. He participated in early robotic surgery evaluation trials, pioneered intra-operative image guided navigation surgery and is now involved in artificial intelligence spinal imaging and augmented reality intra-operative navigation. Because of this experience, he can diagnose and optimize non-surgical and surgical care for each patient’s individual situation.

Dr. Peloza has been published extensively in peer reviewed spine literature as well as authoring 6 book chapters. His writings have also appeared in consumer publications - VERITAShealth, Spine- health, Orthopedics Today, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. He has presented his research or expertise in over 300 national and international meetings.

Dr. Peloza has been recognized by his peers as a “Best Doctor in America” and “Top Surgeon” by the Consumers Research Council of America. He was named as one of the “50 Best Spine Specialists in America” by Becker’s Orthopedic and Spine Review as well as the Becker’s Healthcare Spine Leadership Award. He was selected the “Best Doctors in Dallas” and Best Doctors in Collin County” by D Magazine for over 20 consecutive years. He was named a Texas “Super Doctor” by Texas Monthly Magazine and is in the Texas Hall of Fame.
